CEREC®
One-Visit Crowns
CEREC®
means we can quickly and economically restore damaged teeth
using a durable ceramic material that matches the natural color
of other teeth in your mouth. CEREC® is an acronym for Chairside
Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.
What advantages does CEREC® offer me?
First and foremost, the restoration can be performed in a single
session, usually in about one hour. With CEREC® there's no need
for us to make an impression and send it to a lab. We won't
inconvenience you by asking you to return for a second visit.
Second, the restoration is natural looking, because it is made
of tooth-colored ceramic material. It's metal-free--no silver
fillings to discolor your smile! The ceramic material is
compatible with tissue in your mouth and is high-grade,
anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. It allows us to be extremely
precise and save more of the healthy part of your tooth.

Invisalign®
The invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces.
Invisalign® can give you the beautiful straight teeth you've always
wanted. It works through a series of invisible, removable, and
comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So you can
smile more during treatment as well as after.
Invisalign® has been
proven effective in clinical research and in dental and orthodontic
practices nationwide.
How Does Invisalign®
Work?
·
You wear
each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat,
drink, brush, and floss.
·
As you
replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move -
little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the
final position your orthodontist or dentist has prescribed.
·
You'll
visit us about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is
progressing as planned.
·
Total
treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners
worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case
to case.

Implant Dentistry
If you are missing
one or more teeth, you'll want to talk with Dr.
Snider about replacements that are as natural as
possible. If dentures don't work for you, you may
consider dental implants. Unlike dentures, which can
be removed, Dr. Snider can make dental implants that
are permanently anchored into the jaw itself.
You are a good
candidate for dental implants if you have jawbone
ridges that are in good shape and healthy oral
tissues. When Dr. Snider inserts the implant device
into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical bond is
formed. The jawbone actually grows into the implant.
With dental implants at Lake Country Dental, you get
a perfect fit, and they will look and feel as good
as (or better than!) your original teeth.

Sedation Dentistry
Once you've experienced
sedation dentistry with Dr. Snider, you'll probably never be
afraid to go to the dentist again.
You'll be sedated just enough to be unaware of the treatment, as
if you were relaxing. You'll wake up refreshed, with little or
no memory of what was accomplished. Because you are completely
comfortable, Dr. Snider can do years of dental treatments in as
little as one or two visits.
Dr. Snider can replace crowns or
dentures, restore sore gums to good health, whiten yellow or
stained teeth, fix a chipped tooth, and more. People with very
busy schedules can get the dental care they need, easily and
quickly.
Imagine being able to smile with confidence and chew your food
without pain. No wonder so many patients say: "Thank you Dr.
Snider. Sedation dentistry changed my life."
How Does
Sedation Dentistry Work? Dr Snider will give
you a small pill to take an hour prior to your dental
appointment. Your companion will accompany you to the office. By
the time you arrive, you will be very drowsy.
When you arrive in our office, you will be escorted into the
comfort room, covered with a thick, warm blanket and placed on a
monitor to watch your vital signs. After you are comfortable,
Dr. Snider and the experienced clinical team at Lake Country
Dental will take care of your dental needs.
Complex dental treatments that
often require six to eight appointments, can be done in as
little as one at Lake Country Dental! All while you relax.
People who have difficulty getting numb will find that relax
dentistry eliminates this problem.
When your treatment is completed, your companion will return you
home to finish your comfortable, relaxing day.
Sedation dentistry is a safe way
to reduce the fatigue of extended dental treatment requiring
long visits.

Treatment of TMJ
Disorders
TMJ disorder describes a variety of
conditions affecting the temporomandibular joint (the
point where the jaw opens and closes) and nerves related
to chronic facial pain. These problems are now more
easily diagnosed by our doctors and treated than in the
past. Women are twice as likely to be affected than men.
Proper diagnosis is critical to make sure you receive
treatment for your particular condition. At Lake Country
Dental we will only recommend treatment after conducting
a thorough health history, clinical exam, taking
appropriate X-rays, and perhaps confirming the condition
through other diagnostic tests. We may prescribe a
multiple-phase treatment plan. Only minor corrective
treatment may be needed. Treatment may be simple or
require more steps for alleviating the condition,
depending on the degree of severity. Some of these
treatments include:
- Taking a non-aspirin
pain reliever or prescription medications such as
muscle relaxants, analgesics, or anti-inflammatory
drugs
- Eating soft foods
- Avoiding chewing gum
- Applying moist heat
or ice
- Physical therapy
- Teaching relaxation
techniques to control muscle tension
- Stress management
training techniques
- Posture training
- Wearing bite plates
to eliminate the harmful effects of clenching or
grinding the teeth, and a better positioning of the
jaws
- Adjusting the bite,
known as "occlusal equilibration" involving removing
interferences when the teeth touch
- Replacement of
defective restorations that prevent the jaws from
meeting properly
- Orthodontics, to put
the teeth in proper position
- Surgery
In most cases
we treat at Lake Country Dental, the symptoms related
to TMJ disorders can be successfully treated to reduce
or eliminate your discomfort. Postponement of
treatment usually results in more damage to the joint,
muscles, or teeth.
